ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY OF LAW AT READING
The University of Law has an arrangement with the University of Reading to offer the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and Legal Practice Course (LPC) to students from September 2018.
Situated on the London Road Campus, the original campus of the University of Reading, it is located next to the University Great Hall, which hosts graduation ceremonies and the University clock tower, a war memorial on the site. Our students benefit from a dynamic and international learning environment, high quality teaching and courses supported by the latest research, state-of-the-art facilities, opportunities to gain practical, real-world experience, and excellent links with employers.
Combining market-leading legal training courses, teaching from qualified lawyers, the beautiful surrounds of the London Road campus and exceptional student experience, our leading postgraduate courses are designed to help you succeed.
OUTSIDE THE UNIVERSITY
We are ideally located in the thriving town of Reading, and at the heart of the employment-rich Thames Valley region. Reading is a rapidly growing town, with a bustling centre and a range of shops, restaurants, music and arts venues, historical points of interest, green spaces, sports facilities and other entertainments.
Reading has a huge amount to offer, but its location means that if you want a change of scene there are lots of options just a short walk, cycle, drive or train ride away. You can enjoy a walk by the river Thames or take a 30-minute train to London. You can make a trip to Oxford and experience the famous spires or head to the south coast and hit the beach for the day. As well as our excellent train and motorway links, international airports Heathrow and Gatwick are also within easy reach.
STUDENTS’ UNION
Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) is run by students, for students, and as a student at our School of Law you are automatically a member. RUSU co-ordinates and supports the many student representatives who work to represent you and campaign on matters that affect you. Each autumn, a Postgraduate Taught Officer is elected by the students; they work to represent and promote the rights of postgraduate students on campus, in the local community and beyond. We offer over 130 societies and more than 55 sports clubs, many of which cater specifically to postgraduate students.
