The Junior Lawyers Division for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire is open to lawyers in private practice and in-house up to 5 years PQE. It is also open to aspiring lawyers, legal executives and LPC students who are local to Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire

We work closely with local universities, law schools and recruiters to organise career development focused events, lectures, workshops and seminars throughout the year alongside our social events.

We hold regular social events throughout the year. Previously, we have organised charity quiz nights, mixed netball tournaments, wine tasting events and a ball in the summer. If you have ideas or would like us to focus on a particular topic for a lecture, seminar or workshop, please do get in touch with us via juniorlawyersdivisionbbo@gmail.com.

Living in Berkshire gives you a taste of the countryside, without marooning you too far away from urban life: as well as being a short train journey from London, you can take advantage of Slough, Reading and Newbury, all bustling towns in their own rights. Windsor Castle and Donnington Castle will appeal to history buffs. There’s plenty to do to amuse yourself: Ascot racecourse hosts a range of glamourous race days, but if that’s not your scene, you might want to don your wellies and head to Reading festival…

Buckinghamshire boasts all the countryside you could ever need: the Chiltern Hills are an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Living in the area will give you access to a wealth of history and culture, too: there’s a 1,400-seater theatre in Milton Keynes, while Bletchley Park contains information about the codebreakers of World War 2. Within the county, there are an array of living options, from urban living to rural cottages.

Oxfordshire is notably home to Oxford, which in turn houses the world-famous university. Living in Oxford offers a city experience like no other: you’re granted a heady mix of traditional buildings and green spaces, combined with all the mod cons. Beyond Oxford, you could settle in Banbury, Chipping Norton or Didcot, to name a few.
